Her most well-known role is the actress in La Dolce Vita in the movie comedy drama. The film won an Oscar as well as the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960 and was also a commercial and critical hit. Her birthplace was in Skane, Sweden and did modeling before she began acting. In the end, she won her first prize in the Miss Sweden Contest. After moving to the US she began performing in a variety of films, playing small roles. Her first credited role was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she was a Venusian guard. She soon won the Golden Globe award in the Most Promising Newcomer category, after being featured in the movie Blood Alley.
